BY THE ORIGINS OF NAME THE ERASMUS PROGRAM

THE QUESTION is, has  any student  as being participant in exchange program,  wondered  about the program is called as Erasmus “Why is the Erasmus but not Aristoteles or Plato?”. So, Who is Erasmus?  Desiderius Erasmus, known as an opponent of dogmatism, who lived and worked in many places in Europe to expand his knowledge and gain new insights, and who wrote a book The Praise of Folly -Morias enkomion seu laus stultitiae- that is considered one of the most notable works of the Renaissance period. And now, at 21st Century being a participant in Erasmus Exchange Program, since Program named as Erasmus, can assure to being an opponent of dogmatism and racism?

The answer is you and  your preferences. Generally, preferences take shape by your experiences and it depends on whether you have an open mind and a different point of view or not. While you are in abroad you may feel yourself in solitude; but, it will affect you on way of improve yourself. In addition The program gives  a lot of opportunity for participant to change their mentality and habits which is not unsuitable to humanity – humanism. By the way, this  means not that the program’s only aim is  make  the stundets humanistic, but, according to origins of the name of program it’s commented in automatically.

Of being a both question and answer,  Copenhagen, how will affect the students in participant exchange program? Because of  Copenhagen has repeatedly been recognized as one of the cities with the best quality of life. It is also considered one of the world’s most environmentally friendly cities.  For it is a fact, is this  urban concept will be able to enough for being humanistic, opponent of dogmatism and racism?
